Questions for you

You have standardized the buttercup horns and australian La Flech?
you got the horns from hamburg?
What do you think of the long horns of horned Caltanissetta, you can fix the long horns?
maby the hamburg has ebc?
the color of the Sicilian cup how do you think ?

Many thanks

I too have found brown closely related to gold spangled. Two years ago I first told of this on Practical Poultry Forum UK. I have not yet finished standardising the breeds Sicilian Buttercups or La Fleche for colour but yes to comb. The horns comb from the Houdan. An unexpected outcomb of hetrezygote La Fleche type to hamburg was homozygote type La Fleche comb shown above.

The long horns is a result of the bird having only one gen for the duplex. You can say whether or not only half the hatching chicks have this comb type, a quarter will have La Fleche type comb and a quarter no recognizable comb type(maybe single). Either you have small horn comb with cavernous beak, or large comb smooth beak as in your Caltanisetta. It is not a breed I am familiar with properly.

I don't think Hamburg is ebc but pehaps modified by mottle genetics of houdan? There are photos of chicks and their down pattern in my photobucket. Some start of nearly black and end up brown like the photos of yours above.
