is really impressive ... your photos are like my pets
I think the Sicilian buttercup is close to Gold Spangled Hamburg is the difference in the patches of feathers.
Were Brumbaugh and Hollander in 1965 to isolate the first gene ebc in Sicily and concluded that the duvet ebc was now known as a combination of ebc with Db. The difference between the oval patches of Siciliana and those in dell'Amburgo splash bar is probably due to unidentified modifier genes that alter the disposition dell'eumelanina giving a #########mottled######### or bar. All this is possible and highly likely, given the tendency to manifest dell'Amburgo splash spots rather than bars. But we must not forget what was stated by Carefoot: the Db gene in the homozygous state inhibits the curvature of the design, so that the spray is transformed into a strikeout. Therefore, the presence of single or dual gene Db is able to change the arrangement dell'eumelanina.
My Sicilian chicks are not cross a line I have two different phenotypes, light is dark.
The chicks are striped on the head with irregular bands
Different lines are partridge and wild-type and +
EBC Adults are not barred.

#####mottled###### I maintain is the missing link which I believe comes from the Houdan [SM=g7519]
